Generally speaking, an NFT marketplace is a publicly accessible digital platform that enables creators and collectors to create and trade NFTs. In order to do that, you need to connect a blockchain wallet - whilst some platforms require a direct integration with a blockchain wallet and crypto currencies, some others allow you to register with an email and hence obtain the wallet, using either fiat (e.g. Euro, USD, Pound, etc...) or crypto currencies (e.g. BTC, ETH, etc...).
There is yet not a common standard when referring to NFT marketplaces. Some platforms include both primary and secondary market in the same page, while others - like DaChain - make a clear distinction between them, which ultimately helps customers who are looking to buy NFTs directly from the creators (primary market), rather than from other resellers (secondary market).
